Composite CNC/machining Trainee

 Job Purpose:

To train in the machining of composites, to become a proficient, reliable member of the team and to achieve high standards ensuring that all standard operations and procedures are adhered to.

• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to learn a new career and progress through the composites industry
• Previous skills or qualifications within carpentry, machining or engineering environment would be advantageous but not a necessity as full training will be given
• The ability to understand technical drawings would be advantageous but not a necessity as full training will be given

Experienced CNC Machinist - Minimum 10 years as a Journeyman in high precision machine shop

 Experienced CNC Machinist - Minimum 10 years as a Journeyman in high precision machine shop.

• 4 axis mill experience is highly valued for this posting experience with Fanuc/Haas controllers is considered a must.
• Ability to set up and program CNCs and use precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge and proficiency in CAM software with MasterCam is a definite asset Excellent problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Good communication, organizational and planning skills. Creativity, dexterity, and design skills a must.
• Duties and Responsibilities: Programming/running of parts within the shop.
• Other machine experience considered an asset would be CNC lathe, surface grinders and EDMs. Will train when required.
• Selecting and identifying tooling, programming, and setting feeds and speeds of cutting tools for all of the CNC machines.
• Other duties as required.
