Composite CNC/machining Trainee

 Job Purpose:

To train in the machining of composites, to become a proficient, reliable member of the team and to achieve high standards ensuring that all standard operations and procedures are adhered to.

Previous skills or qualifications within carpentry, machining or engineering environment would be advantageous but not a necessity as full training will be given

The ability to understand technical drawings would be advantageous but not a necessity as full training will be given

Experienced CNC Machinist - Minimum 10 years as a Journeyman in high precision machine shop

 Experienced CNC Machinist - Minimum 10 years as a Journeyman in high precision machine shop.

• 4 axis mill experience is highly valued for this posting experience with Fanuc/Haas controllers is considered a must.
• Ability to set up and program CNCs and use precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge and proficiency in CAM software with MasterCam is a definite asset Excellent problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities: Programming/running of parts within the shop.

Other machine experience considered an asset would be CNC lathe, surface grinders and EDMs. Will train when required.

Selecting and identifying tooling, programming, and setting feeds and speeds of cutting tools for all of the CNC machines.

Other duties as required.
